Alyssa Armoogam, 30, matched with Mark, 59, on a dating app having decided she needed an ‘older rich man’. After Mark met the terms Alyssa set out for him, which included other stipulations, the pair went on to marry and now have two children together — with Alyssa saying more women should ‘know their worth’. (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) Influencer Alyssa said she was ‘miserable’ and just out of a relationship when she made the move to Florida in 2018 so turned to dating apps with three very specific requirements for her matches: rich, attentive and committed to their faith. When Mark revealed he had toured the country talking about Jesus, it was one box ticked and two to go. Next, Alyssa told him she was ‘willing to meet’ on the condition he covered the babysitter she needed because ‘if a dude is going to argue with me about $45 for a babysitter - he's not worth my time’. (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) The pair had their first date and at the end Mark handed her $300 to pay for her childcare, with a significant chunk of cash to spare. When Mark asked to see her again, she really put the entrepreneur and investor’s finances to the test. She said: ‘He was very persistent. I said “OK, here are my terms - I want someone paying for my nails, hair and waxing. I want a $1,000 weekly allowance to feel secure and I want to be exclusive”.’ (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) ‘He immediately sent me $2,000 and said I wasn't going on another date with anyone else. I loved it because I felt he had made it 100 per cent clear how he felt about me.’ That money allowed Alyssa to put down a deposit on home for herself and her daughter, Ziya. The romance blossomed and Mark proposed in 2020 before they wed in 2022. Mark has adopted Ziya and the pair also welcomed their son, Keanu, two months after they tied the knot. (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) Alyssa, who wants to lead a course teaching others how to ‘date like a trophy wife’, said she has always preferred dating older men and the love she has for Mark is more important than his finances. She said: ‘There is the idea I'm only with him because of his money. It was one of my requirements but I wouldn't have married him because of that. We really encourage the best out of each other. We see the potential in each other.’ (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) ‘When people look at me they make assumptions on who I am and my intentions, because of my age and appearance. When people talk to me they see how much love I pour into my family. There's no question of why we're together. He's a handsome guy. Age — what does it matter if our souls align?’ (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) Alyssa no longer receives an allowance, as they share their finances equally, and she says the relationship has allowed her to pursue ‘anything I want’. She’s currently working on a clothing line for women who are breastfeeding. She admits she still loves being treated to the romantic gifts Mark surprises her with, from getaways to designer bags. (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) She added: ‘He's such a Pisces. He's very romantic. I told him I like getting little small gifts. He takes that and understands it. He takes me shopping and buys me a Louis Vuitton. That's his normal behaviour. That's him romancing me. When I went into the dating scene I had this idea of what I wanted in a man. I knew what I'd be bringing into that person’s life. That's what made me feel firm on my requirements. Women are not realising their worth.’ (Picture: Alyssa Armoogam/SWNS) Back Back Start Start Next Next Next GalleryNext Gallery
