Exciting times are ahead for Netflix viewers over the next few weeks — with the charts about to be taken over by a certain blockbuster series. Yep, Stranger Things season 5 finally made its bow on November 26, and while it was released too late to make this week's global most-watched chart, its influence is already exerting itself over the shows you've been watching. Other, less strange things are making their mark too as we nudge closer to Christmas, with thrillers, dramas and even a spot of wrestling keeping you all glued to the screen. 10. Stranger Things: Season 2 - 3,100,000 views this week
Think this is the only time you'll be seeing Stranger Things in the top 10 this week? Think again. With the fifth and final series landing, it's understandable that people will want to either catch up with the show or just refresh their memory on what they've seen so far. Season two picks up in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1984 - one year after the events around the disappearance of Will Byers - as the town once again comes under threat from the Upside Down. 9. Raw: 2025 - November 17 - 3,100,000 views
Sneaking into the top 10 is this week's dose of live wrestling on Netflix - and it's no surprise to see it in the rankings, given it's been a big week for the sport. 8. Stranger Things: Season 4 - 3,300,000 views
The second - and not the last - showing for Stranger Things this week, as the fourth series makes its return to the top 10. This one takes place in 1986, eight months after the events of season three, and takes the action to California and the Soviet Union. But, of course, the Upside Down rears its head back in Hawkins, as the town is plagued by a string of mysterious teenage murders. As well as keeping us all gripped and racking up viewers by the ton, this is also the series that sent Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill soaring to number one, decades after it was first released. 7. Absentia: Season 2 - 4,000,000 views
Another show which is making waves in the top 10 this week is Absentia, racking up millions of views after making the leap to Netflix from Amazon Prime Video. Canadian actress Stana Katic takes the leads as Special Agent Emily Byrne, who was officially declared dead by the FBI after going missing in Boston. Oh hello, is that Stranger Things by any chance? Oh yes it is. Here's your chance to see where it all began, as the first series makes a glorious return to the Top 10 - and introduces us to the town of Hawkins, Indiana, and the Upside Down, for the first time. As for the plot, it sees Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) vanish while cycling home and his friends, with a little help from the mysterious Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), attempting to crack the mystery behind his disappearance. 5. The Crystal Cuckoo: Limited Series - 5,500,000 views
Into the top five we go, and this Spanish crime series has smashed its way into the countdown. The Crystal Cuckoo, adapted from Javier Castillo's novel of the same name, follows a young medical student (Catalina Sopelana), who receives a life-saving heart transplant and decides to learn more about her donor. 4. Dynamite Kiss: Limited Series - 6,400,000 views
There's not a lot to laugh at in this week's top 10, but if you're in the mood for something a bit lighter, there's always this South Korean rom-com, which is enjoying a second week in the top five. The series centres around Go Da-rim, a single woman who pretends to be married with kids to get her dream job. But when the team leader of the company falls in love with her, Go Da-rim wrestles with her morals. Should she reveal her true identity, or stay silent? (Picture: Netflix)
3. Last Samurai Standing: Season 1 - 7,200,000 views
Also hanging in there is this Japanese period drama, based on the novel by Shogo Imamura. Set in the 19th century, during the Meiji era, it follows 292 fighters as they assemble at a Kyoto Temple at sunset, all with one goal in mind: to win a grand prize of ¥100,000. 2. Absentia: Season 1 - 8,200,000 views
Slipping into the runner-up slot is season 1 of Absentia - and if you've only just discovered it, here's your chance to see where it all began, as Emily Byrne (Stana Katic) is rescued and attempts to pick up the pieces of her old life. Expect some pretty dark and grim moments as she does so though, as the series doesn't skimp on moments of her horrific ordeal - which are definitely not for the squeamish. 1. The Beast In Me - 14,100,000 views
There's a new number one in town - and while it's unlikely to be there for long, in the wake of the Stranger Things season 5 juggernaut on its way, it's still doing pretty nicely in its second week on the chart. Claire Danes stars as Aggie Wiggs, an author who has retreated from public life and is grappling with writer's block following the death of her young son. Until one day, she receives unlikely inspiration for her next novel: Nile Jarvis, the son of a real estate magnate, has moved in next door with his second wife, after allegedly killing his first.
