By James BrizuelaShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe New York Giants have had Jameis Winston under center for the past two games, as rookie star Jaxson Dart suffered a concussion in Week 10. Now, the team has announced huge news on the availability of Dart.

Dart has certainly been significant in adding some confidence to the Giants' organization. He is the quarterback for the future, but his tough running style has led to multiple concussion scares. The last time he was hit hard, he suffered an actual concussion.
Following the significant head injury, many in the organization reportedly pleaded with the rookie to protect himself. That could be the case, as Dart is now set to return.

Per multiple reports, Dart has cleared concussion protocol. That means he will be back to starting when the Giants take on the New England Patriots on "Monday Night Football."

Dart should have a long NFL career, as long as he protects himself. Taking too many shots to the head this early on, and in general, is not good for his health or football future.
With Dart set for a return against the Patriots, it will be interesting to see how the Giants handle playcalling for the dynamic rookie.
Even more interesting is that Dart is coming back on the field following the firing of Brian Daboll. Mike Kafka has now assumed interim head coaching duties, so it will be up to him to ensure the rookie signal caller protects himself.
Through nine games, Dart has 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also has 317 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.
Dart clearly has the skill to be a mobile passer, but he will need to learn to slide more than to take unnecessary hits. That will be the test when he makes his return after missing the last two games.
