Previous Page Next PageThe This Morning studio turned momentarily strained on Wednesday, as Peter Kay sat in the studio with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
The comedian appeared on the ITV daytime show to share details on his new set of tour dates, which will be part of his ongoing Better Late than Never Tour.
The 52-year-old has been touring consistently ever since he announced his long-awaited comeback to stand-up comedy in 2022, but is now set to wrap up his tour next year.
However, it won’t be quite as soon as anticipated, as Kay has tacked on an additional set of shows with 150,000 tickets going. All the profits will go to 12 cancer charities.
Kay listed all the charities that will benefit from donations and as the comic started to read them from a piece of paper, Deeley responded ‘yes’ to each one he read out.
The habit prompted a pause and a laugh from Kay, to which he then said: ‘I’m not laughing at bowel cancer, it’s because she keeps saying, “yeah”.’

Deeley in turn gave an embarrassed laugh, while her co-host Shephard stepped in to explain: ‘It’s called active listening, my wife does it and it drives me mad.’
Kay then turned to the ITV camera in the studio and said to viewers: ‘Well, if you’ve got any issues with that and you want to ring up…?’ before continuing to list the charities.
The comedian first shared news of the ‘last lot of shows’ to his tour during an appearance on The One Show on Wednesday evening, in which he also read out all of the charities which will benefit.
