Is Jean at breaking point? (Picture: BBC)
The Slaters are heading for yet another emotional blow in EastEnders, as worrying signs about Jean’s wellbeing escalate just as the family prepares to say goodbye to Freddie and Anna. What should be a day of celebration quickly spirals into chaos, paranoia and heartbreak.
With Freddie and Anna preparing to leave the Square, the Slater family attempts to pull together for a fond farewell. But behind the smiles and decorations, the cracks are showing.
Jean, still reeling from a series of emotional blows, is straining to hold herself together. Lily becomes increasingly concerned as she watches her grandmother run herself ragged, convinced Jean is pushing far beyond what she can cope with.
Zoe, meanwhile, is at breaking point. The anonymous messages that have been tormenting her for weeks have left her jumpy and suspicious, and Kat does her best to calm her spiralling daughter as tensions rise.
A chilling message appears during The Vic’s Christmas lights switch-on
Elaine tries to lighten the mood with a heartfelt speech about Freddie and Anna, but the night takes a sinister turn when the Christmas lights across the Square are switched on.

A disturbing message suddenly appears in The Vic’s window, another sign that someone is deliberately targeting Zoe.
The shock ripples through the pub, but it’s Zoe who unravels fastest. Convinced she’s being hunted, she goes searching for proof.
Zoe points the finger at Tommy after a discovery
Later, Zoe rifles through Tommy’s rucksack and finds something that convinces her he must be the one tormenting her. Fueled by fear and adrenaline, she storms upstairs and accuses him of being behind the messages.
Tommy flatly denies it, swearing to Kat, Alfie and Zoe that he is innocent. But Zoe’s panic quickly turns to rage.
She lashes out at all three of them, her emotions spiralling beyond control. The row escalates, leaving Kat devastated as her daughter hurls blame in every direction.
Chaos erupts in The Vic, and Kat is forced to make a heartbreaking call
Still worked up, Zoe storms downstairs into the bar, where she gets into a heated argument with Vicki. The shouting match draws everyone’s attention, further worsening the scene.

Kat, pushed to her limit and desperate to calm the situation, is left with no choice. With clear reluctance and heartbreak, she asks Zoe to leave The Vic and take some space, a decision that sends Zoe fleeing in humiliation and pain.
After being kicked out, a shaken Zoe turns to Dr Anthony Trueman. Seeing how vulnerable she is, he offers her a place to stay for the night. Zoe, hurt and feeling abandoned by her family, accepts.
Meanwhile, as the Slaters gather to say goodbye to Freddie, the mood becomes even heavier. His departure marks the loss of another steady presence in Jean’s life, and her emotional state continues to unravel.

Back at home, Lily becomes increasingly worried as Jean’s behaviour grows more erratic in the wake of Freddie’s exit. Wanting to help, she reaches out to Anthony, who suggests Jean should book an appointment to talk things through.
