Pree (@yoimpree), from New York City, shared a video of a tiny orange kitten wrapped in a blanket, one of three she had found in an alleyway. She explained that she had originally given the kitten to someone she knew, but they returned him for being a "bad kitten." The video has since garnered 1.2 million likes and 5.2 million views on TikTok.
In the clip, Pree narrates the story of how the little cat came back to her.
As she put it: "This guy right here is one of three kittens found in the alleyway whose mom passed. Look at him. Someone I know wanted a kitten, so I gave her this guy. And after one night. One night she said he's a really bad kitten and she can't keep him. So now he's coming home with me."
...What To Do if You Find a Stray Cat
According to guidance from Cats Protection, anyone who finds a stray or abandoned cat should first try to determine whether the animal is genuinely lost or simply roaming.
They recommend checking for a microchip by taking the cat to a vet, looking for a collar or ID tag, and asking neighbors if they recognize the animal. If the cat appears feral, fearful, or is living outdoors long-term, Cats Protection advises contacting a local rescue organization for support.
They also suggest providing food, water, and shelter if the cat seems in distress, while avoiding immediately moving or rehoming the animal unless it is unsafe to leave them where they were found.

Viewers quickly rushed to the comments to defend the kitten—and poke fun at the idea of a “bad” baby cat.
"All kittens are bad LOL they’re just babies!" said Alyssa.
"No such thing as a bad kitten. Just impatient humans," shared another user.
"Kittens aren’t bad they’re just kitten," added another.
Erin agreed, writing: "He’s a kitten.. all kittens are 'bad' which really isn’t bad they are just hyper and the cutest things ever."
Another viewer chimed in: "He is a kitten. All kittens are bad lol they are toddlers with both claws and teeth. They grow out of it eventually. Tf. That person don’t deserve him. He is better off with you."
