What’s happened? If you love making creative videos, you now have another platform to play with. Grok Imagine, the AI tool from Elon Musk’s xAI, now supports text-to-video feature. The update was announced on X by Elon Musk, bringing video generation right into the platform you might already use. This means you can transform a random idea into a short video by typing it out on X as easily as sharing a tweet.

Why it matters? With the latest version of Grok Imagine, you can type a prompt like “a motorcycle speeding through a neon-lit city at night” to “a dreamy whale swimming through clouds” and get back a short video with visuals, motion, and sound. You can switch between image and video mode right inside the same input bar.

What to expect? Currently, the generated clips are short and only a few seconds long. If you need long-form content or complex scenes, this may not be the right tool yet.
The quality and realism are good for social posts, memes, or creative experiments. But don’t expect cinematic-level polish just yet. As with most AI video generators, results will vary depending on your prompt.
Nevertheless, Grok’s AI videos are perfect if you want to quickly share funny clips or creative ideas on X, since you can create and post them from the same platform.
