Last week it was confirmed that a lost scene originally written for Kill Bill Vol. One would be revived in Fortnite. “Visionary director Quentin Tarantino had a dream of a Kill Bill chapter that never made it to the silver screen, a chapter known as Yuki’s Revenge,” reads a Fortnite blog. “Over 20 years later, Tarantino and Epic have come together to bring the story to life in Fortnite. Built with Unreal Engine and character models from Fortnite, Tarantino’s The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge stars Uma Thurman.

A number of Kill Bill-inspired outfits and items will also be heading to Fortnite as part of the collab. However some fans really aren’t happy.
A teaser image sees the iconic Pussy Wagon censored, with a cat emoji replacing the word “pussy”. Fans of the gritty, gory and highly-influential film also aren’t enjoying the inclusion of Fortnite mascot Peely (a walking, talking banana) in the Kill Bill cinematic universe and others are frustrated the iconic “lost” scene is being shown to Fortnite players first.

“Murder is fineeee, it’s the sex stuff that will make kids messed up in the head,” wrote one sarcastic Reddit user. “Why the fuck would they collab with something they feel the need to censor??” asked another. It’s so depressing that we finally get Yuki’s Revenge but in Fortnite. So sad,” wrote a third.

“This fucking game is destroying all popular media and i’m not exaggerating,” said one X user. “As someone who has quite possibly seen Kill Bill over 100 times, I cannot stress enough how bad Yuki’s Revenge from the original script is, and how apt it is that it’s getting turned into a Fortnite short,” added another.
The Kill Bill collab follows hugely popular Fortnite crossovers with Daft Punk and The Simpsons. Following the events, Daft Punk released a Fortnite-inspired music video for ‘Contact’ and The Simpsons shared a number of cough gags influenced by the hit game.
