The Washington Commanders have a big game against the Denver Broncos on tap for Week 13.
However, there is an even larger question looming about Pro Bowl quarterback Jayden Daniels and when the Commanders could see him on the field again.
He spoke candidly about his status and when he could return on Tuesday. Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Reports suggest that he is unlikely to play against the Broncos.
Still, Daniels is returning to practice, and situations can certainly change quickly in the NFL. Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft and the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year is eager to get back to what he loves.
Daniels also addressed concerns about potentially risking reinjury by returning from his dislocated elbow too soon. He has missed Washington’s last two games and five games in total this season due to injuries.

...“It’s a day-by-day process. Just kind of getting back into a rhythm, and get in the flow of things,” Daniels told reporters on Tuesday. “Gotta go out there and play football. If I’m back out there, I’m healthy, and I’m ready to go, I want to be out there.”
Daniels has completed 62.5% of his passes for 1,184 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions this season. His interception rate is down from 2024, but so are his passing yards per game and touchdown rate.
Moreover, the Commanders are 2-4 with Daniels under center this season after going 12-5 with him as a rookie.

Daniels was speaking while conducting an event for his charitable organization, The Jayden Daniels Foundation. Several others from the Commanders organization joined him.
“Daniels, on behalf of his foundation, joined teammates, team President Mark Clouse, minority owner Mark Ein and others to hand out turkeys at the team's annual Harvest Feast,” Last Man Standig’s Ben Standig reported on X on Tuesday.
Daniels expressed his gratitude for the event before addressing his status.
“First and foremost, I’m happy to be out here,” Daniels said. “The Jayden Daniels Foundation, partnering with the Commanders, to give some good back for the holidays, make sure people have meals on Thanksgiving.”
