Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports the notion that Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, doesn't like to take losses on TV is false. The report echoes what Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has also said.
Mone is in the midst of a belt collector gimmick. In addition to her AEW TBS Championship, Mone has also captured titles from several independent promotions. The storyline is that for all the belts Mone is able to capture, she has yet to win the AEW Women's World Championship.

Mercedes Mone's Road to AEW Women's World Title
Mone has had two failed attempts at securing the top female prize in AEW. She first challenged for the gold against Toni Storm at "AEW All In: Texas" back in July. Mone was pinned in that match after her opponent hit a Storm Zero off the turnbuckle.
In her second attempt, the "CEO" faced Kris Statlander at "Full Gear 2025" inside the Prudential Center in Newark. Mone was defeated once again, and the AEW Women's World Championship continues to elude her.
Many believe Mone will start to lose all of her titles, including her TBS Championship, in the near future. This could lead to a shift in character for Mone before ultimately capturing the one piece of hardware she's wanted since debuting in AEW back in March 2024.
